As a Non‑Duke Student Intern, you’ll play an important role in supporting Duke’s Puppy Kindergarten research and training program, contributing to hands-on behavioral research while collaborating with students, researchers, and program staff in a supportive academic environment.

This role offers the opportunity to take initiative, lead day-to-day activities, and help ensure high-quality research operations. You’ll gain practical experience managing people, protocols, and data while supporting innovative research focused on canine behavior and development.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate and run behavioral testing sessions with dogs as part of the Puppy Kindergarten program
- Manage and support undergraduate student research assistants
- Ensure adherence to established research protocols and procedures
- Assist with data collection, organization, and basic record management
- Support daily program operations to keep research activities running smoothly
